Obituary for Caroline E. Casey

Caroline E. Casey, 91, of 45 Wahconah Heights, died Saturday, January 3, 2014, at
Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on February 18, 1923, the daughter of Patrick and Lilla Bishop Gavin,
she was a graduate of Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Casey was employed as a housekeeper at the former St. Teresa Church. She retired in 1991 with 29 years service.
She had been a communicant of St. Teresa Church.
She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos, and was a Red Sox fan.
Her husband, Daniel Casey, died in 1969.
Mrs. Casey is survived by a son, John Casey, of Arizona; a sister, Dorothy Bristol of
Pittsfield; five grandchildren, Paul Trumbull, Daniel Trumbull, Robert Trumbull, Brian Casey,
and Patrick Casey; as well as seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Caroline E. Casey will be held Friday, January 9, at 9:15 a.m., from
DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to Moments House in care of the Funeral Home, 54
Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
