Obituary for Carol A. Purry

Carol A. Purry, 56, of 23 Pleasure Avenue, Pittsfield, a lifelong resident of Pittsfield, died
Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, a daughter of the late Tommie R. Purry, Sr., and Annie Bell Williams
Purry, she was educated in Pittsfield schools, was a 1976 graduate of Taconic High School,
and attended Berkshire Community College.
A certified nursing assistant by profession, Miss Purry had been employed by Hillcrest
Commons, Springside Nursing Home, Side By Side Assisted Living, and Rosewood Assisted
Living. She retired in 2001.
Miss Purry was a member of Second Congregational Church.
She enjoyed music and dancing, doing crossword and word search puzzles, watching
television, and crocheting.
Miss Purry is survived by a daughter, Larece R. Purry-Juliano of Pittsfield; a son, William
R. Purry-Juliano of Pittsfield; two brothers, Tommie R. Purry, Jr., of Pittsfield, and Robert L.
Purry, of Pittsfield; a sister, Linda J. Purry Scales of Pittsfield; a grandson, Carson L. Purry-
Juliano, and many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Michael J. Purry and a sister, Imogene L. Purry.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Carol A. Purry will be held Monday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m., at
Second Congregational Church, 50 Onota Street, Pittsfield, with Rev. Leonard C. Comithier
officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service
beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, to help defray funeral expenses.
