Obituary for Carol J. Daigle

CAROL J. DAIGLE, 61, of 156 Chester Road, Becket, a lifelong resident of Becket, died Wednesday evening June 9, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield, September 27, 1948, the daughter of Albert and Blanche
Sherwood LaForest, she was educated in Becket and Chester schools and was a
1966 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School.
Mrs. Daigle was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had also worked for the Marian Fathers in Stockbridge for 15 years.
She enjoyed knitting and her flower gardens. Her greatest love was being with
her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband, Ronald P. Daigle, whom she married October 26, 1968,
in Lee. Besides her husband and her parents of Becket, Mrs. Daigle is survived by a son,
Jeffrey P. Daigle and his wife, Bianca of Richmond; a daughter, Cherie Lyn McClay and
her husband, Douglas, of Pittsfield; three brothers, Joseph LaForest and his wife,
Deborah, of Costigan, Maine, Gerald LaForest and his wife, Jean, of Becket, and Edward
LaForest and his wife, Laurie, of Becket; as well as her two beloved grandchildren,
Alexa Jade Daigle and Emily Rose McClay.

FUNERAL NOTICE:Funeral services for CAROL J. DAIGLE will be private. There are no calling
hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Carol will be used for the Richmond Consolidated School Grade 2 (where Alexa is a student) and for Stearns Elementary School Grade 1 (where Emily is a student) for school supplies or field trips. Donations should be made payable to the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Please make a notation on the check with Mrs. Daigle's name. When all donations are received they will be divided amongst the two schools.
