Obituary for Bruce R. Drosehn

: It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Bruce R. Drosehn, who lost his long battle to cancer on April 7, 2017. Bruce was born in Pittsfield on April 21, 1943 to the late Fred L. Drosehn III and Gladys Smith Drosehn of Hinsdale, MA and lived in that area for most of his life.
Bruce was very active in the local community and worked as the Head of Security at Crane & Company, where he retired after 42 years of service in 2005.
Bruce was a man of strength and compassion... a devoted father with a loving and generous heart… a very peaceful man who loved his family and friends very much. He was always willing to help people out and always had a smile while doing it.
He is survived by his sons, Keith & Kevin; step-daughter Tracy; step-son Johnny; foster son, David; brother, George; and grandchildren, Ricarda, Tommy, Sean, Jenna, Stephen & Brian. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Carole and son, Danny. He was also predeceased by his two brothers; Frederick and Richard Drosehn and by his two sisters; Caroline Hill and Gladys Costi.

Funeral Notice: A private service will be held at a later date. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Hospice Care in the Berkshires for their compassion and professional help and the Dery Funeral Home, for making the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Bruce's name to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 which is handling arrangements.
