Obituary for Brigitte E. Grover

Brigitte Emma Litzkendorf Grover, 61, of 50 Linden St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Mannheim Baden, Germany, on Dec. 4, 1945, daughter of Mathilde Gunther Kosling and the late Emil Kosling, she attended schools in Germany and emigrated to Pittsfield.
Mrs. Grover was a former foster parent. Previously, she worked at nursing homes in the Bennington, Vt., area as a nurses' aide.
She was a member of South Congregational Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and doing arts and crafts at Ralph Froio Senior Center.
Besides her mother, of Stahlberg, Germany, she leaves a son, Detlef Litzkendorf of Ludwigshafenam Rhein, Germany; three daughters, Heidi Lynn Grover and Alexandra Grover, both of Pittsfield, and Carrie Ann Grover of Great Barrington; a brother, Dietmar Kosling of Frankenthal, Germany; and a great-granddaughter.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Brigitte E. Grover, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at South Congregational Church by the Rev. Joel Huntington, pastor. Burial will be at a later date in Germany. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to South Congregational Church, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is handling arrangements. Brigitte is lovingly survived by her granddaughter, Jasmine Rain Thomas Grover.
