Obituary for Brian Keith Bromback

Brian Keith Bromback, 54, of Pittsfield, passed away January 24, 2024 at Berkshire Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Pittsfield on January 1, 1970, he was the son of the late Paul Bromback and Elsie Engwer Ruscio.
Brian was a 1988 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marines and served as a Field Wireman. Brian was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties, while serving as a communications technician on the USS Nassau from August 20, 1990 to April 18, 1991. During this time, he was deployed in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1992.

Mr. Bromback married the former Maryann Arasimowicz on July 25, 1998.

He obtained his oil burner technician license and worked for Bob North Heating, Lipton Energy, and Don Davis Heating. He then obtained his plumbers and gasfitters license and worked for Berkshire Gas Company, where he was currently employed.

A communicant of Sacred Heart Church, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing cards, sitting by a campfire, going on vacations, and getting together to watch movies. His favorite moments were time spent with his boys. They were his world and he was so proud of them.

Brian is survived by his wife, Maryann Bromback of Pittsfield. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this past summer. He also leaves his beloved sons, Cole Matthew Bromback and Mason Christopher Bromback, both of Pittsfield; his sister, Cynthia L. Bromback of Pittsfield; his mothers in-law, Rosemary Schnopp (Peter) and Mary Arasimowicz; sisters in-law Tanya Lauziere (James) and Kerry Lapon (Adam), as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Kyle D. Bromback on October 20, 2012, and his father in-law, Stephen Arasimowicz.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Bromback will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 9:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to Maryann Bromback for their children’s college education.
