Obituary for Brenda Fancher
Brenda Lee Fancher, 79, of Hinsdale, passed away March 21, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on July 10, 1942, she was the daughter of Raymond and Azalia Beitzel Hinkley.
Brenda was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and Pittsfield General Nursing School. She then graduated from American International College in Springfield.
She married Clayton Fancher on September 12, 1964 at St. Mary's Church in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Fancher was a registered nurse for 40 years, having worked for Berkshire Medical Center in IV Therapy.
She loved quilting, sewing, reading and traveling.
Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Clayton “Bud” Fancher of Hinsdale; daughter, Michelle Bilodeau and husband Eric of Westfield, MA; son, Mark Fancher and wife Ann Margaret of Pelham, NH; brother Ronald Hinkley of Ocala, FL., as well as three grandchildren, Jordan Bilodeau, Lauren Bilodeau and Emily Frederic.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, SATURDAY, March 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Hinsdale. Calling hours will be held, FRIDAY, March 25, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 E. Main St, Dalton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
