Obituary for Betty Marie Kickery

Betty Marie Kickery, 79, of 70 Lyman Street, Pittsfield, {Mass.], died Tuesday,
January 8, 2013, at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy, [New York].
Born in Great Barrington, [Mass.], on September 26, 1933, a daughter of Fred and
Gertrude Arnold Phelps, she as educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Kickery was a homemaker.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved being with her family.
She also enjoyed cooking and canning, knitting and crocheting.
Her husband, Roy W. Kickery, whom she married March 3, 1953, in Great
Barrington, died July 28, 1999.
Mrs. Kickery is survived by a son, Wayne M. Kickery, of Greenfield, Mass. two
daughters, Cheryl A. Shaw of Pittsfield, and Barbara A. Kickery and her partner, Paula
Honiker, of East Greenbush, N.Y.; a brother, Fred Phelps and his wife, Connie, of the
state of Florida, and a sister, Nancy McDonough of Mississippi; eight grandchildren,
Melanie Cimini, Becky Winters, Karen Norton, Nikki Shaw, Jamie Kickery, Stacy
Kickery, Cayla Clayton and Anne Clayon, sixteen grandchildren, and many nieces and
nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a sister, Doris Reynolds.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Betty Marie Kickery will be held Saturday, January 12, at
11:00 a.m, at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Sigmund Sadzinski officiating.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4:00 to
7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs.
Kickery may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the hospice of one's
choice, both in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield,
