BERNICE EVA BROCK, 97, formerly of May Terrace, Pittsfield, died
Tuesday, January 27, at Berkshire Place where she had resided since 1998.
Born in Pittsfield, April 24, 1911, the daughter of Tracy A. and Eva Whitaker
Brock, she was a 1929 graduate of Pittsfield High School and attended the former
Berkshire Business College.
Miss Brock was employed by General Electric Company as a Legal Secretary in
the Patent and Trademark Law Office of the Transformer Division. She retired in
1974 with 44 years service.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church and a member of the
Carmelite Third Order.
Miss Brock was a member of the General Electric Quarter Century and
Pensioners Clubs and the Women's Club of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for BERNICE EVA BROCK, who died Tuesday,
January 27, will be Friday, January 30, at 9:00 a.m., in the Notre Dame Chapel at St.
Joseph Church, celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will
follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The DERY FUNERAL
HOME is in charge of arrangements.
