Obituary for Beatrice P. Bond

BEATRICE P. BOND, 88, formerly of 260 Pittsfield Road, Lenox Heights, died Wednesday,
November 8, at Scalibrini Villa in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, where she had
resided for the past six weeks. She had previously lived at 24 Dalton Division Road
in Dalton from 1952 to 1978.
Born in Pittsfield, January 4, 1917, a daughter of George M. and Mary O.Rabideau Porter, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1935 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1937 graduate of the former Berkshire Business College.
A secretary by profession, Mrs. Bond was employed by the General Electric Company in Pittsfield from 1962 until retiring in 1980. Prior to General Electric, she had worked as a secretary at the Jewish Community Center.
She was a communicant of St. Ann Church in Lenox.
She enjoyed golf, the theatre, and was an avid bridge player.Her husband, Ralph W. Bond, whom she married February 14, 1942 at
Notre Dame Church in Pittsfield, died August 14, 1976.Mrs. Bond is survived by a son, Ronald R. Bond of Jamestown, Rhode Island;
two daughters, Donna M. Dunn of East Bridgewater and Deborah M. Schwab of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for BEATRICE P. BOND, who died Wednesday,
November 8, will be Monday, November 13, at 10:45 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., at St. Ann Church in Lenox,celebrated by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Bond may be made to The Alzheimer and Related Disorders, 153 Magazine Street, Springfield, MA 01109
or to the Odyssey Group, Hospice of Warwick, 100 Quaker Lane�Suite 2, Warwick,R.I. 02886. Mrs. Bond also leaves her three grandchildren, William Dunn, Jr., Jennifer Dunn, and Christian Schwab, her great granddaughter, Veronica Schwab, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Jeanette Griffin.
