Obituary for Barry E. Larkin

Barry Edward Larkin, 62, of 115 Warren Avenue, Dalton, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on June 4, 1951, a son of the late Edward P. and Elizabeth Sullivan Larkin, he was educated in Dalton schools.
He had been employed by Eaton Paper Company and General Electric Company, and had done contracting work.
Mr. Larkin had been manager of The Hard Hat in Dalton for the past ten years. He had been a musician with The Hard Hat Quartet for many years.
He enjoyed Ballantine and other good ales, and spending time with his family.
He was an avid motorcyclist and an avid Red Sox fan.
Mr. Larkin is survived by two daughters, Alice Barry Larkin of Dalton and her
significant other, Jason Marby, and Chandra Aylor of Dalton; two sons, Colin Thomas Larkin of Dalton and his significant other, Shenna Connors of Dalton, and Sean J.
Larkin of Dalton; three brothers, Peter J. Larkin and his wife, Nina, of Westerly, Rhode
Island, and Jamie W. Larkin and his wife, Jane Lennon Larkin, of the Town of
Washington, and Jake Larkin of Dalton; two sisters, Mary Ellen Palmer of Dalton and Alice E. Everhart and her husband, Chris, of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Hunter
Gallagher, Bella Larkin, and Robert Marby; as well as nieces and nephews, T.J., Liz,
Matt, Erick, Lily, Ryan, Claire, and Ian; and his former wife, Debra Sorensen Larkin.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for Barry Edward Larkin will be held Wednesday, June 26, from
4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME in PITTSFIELD. A prayer service will
follow at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice
Care in The Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
