Obituary for Barbara Parslow Poulton
Barbara Jean Parslow Poulton, 78, of 891 Washington Road, Hinsdale, died Sunday,
December 28, 2014, at her home.
Born in Pittsfield on July 11, 1936, the daughter of Harry and Dorothy Foley Parslow, she
attended Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Poulton was a homemaker.
Known as "The Worm Lady", Mrs. Poulton raised worms for local fishermen. She also operated a farm stand from her home on Route 8 in Hinsdale.
Her husband, Robert Henry Poulton, died September 13, 2007.
Mrs. Poulton is survived by two sons, Paul F. Poulton of Hinsdale, and Gary A. Poulton and his wife, Ronda, of Hinsdale; two daughters, Susan Sayers and her husband, Kenneth, of Pittsfield, and Doreen Levernoch and her husband, Conan, of Hinsdale; two brothers, Robert Parslow of Pittsfield and Jack Parslow of Virginia; three sisters, Dorothy Fallon of Pittsfield, Beverly Sadzinski of Adams, and Jeanne Provencher of Pittsfield; as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Poulton was pre-deceased by two sisters and a brother.
FUNERAL NOTICE:
Graveside services for Barbara Jean Parslow Poulton will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in the Spring. There are no calling hours. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Poulton may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54
