Obituary for Barbara Ann Perry Morabito

Barbara Ann Perry Morabito, 75, of 426 Williams Street, Pittsfield, MA died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 7, 1940 in Pittsfield, MA a daughter of the late Luigi and Concetta Sorbara Perry. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1957 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Morabito was a teacher's aide for the Pittsfield Public School Department for 15 years. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and now a communicant of Saint Mark's Church. She enjoyed crocheting and word search puzzles and going to the casino.
She leaves her beloved husband, Vincenzo Morabito whom she married in January 3, 1959 at Santo Nicola di Bari Church in Bovalino, Italy. A daughter, Carmella P. Spencer and her husband Stuart of Vista. California. Three sons, Enzo L. Morabito and his wife Georgine of West Chester, Ohio, Louis Morabito and his wife Una of East Longmeadow, MA and Pasquale P. Morabito of Windsor, CT. A Brother, Pasquale Perry of Pittsfield, MA. Eight Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild.
She was predeceased by a sister, Maria Perry LeClair.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 7:45 a.m. from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. at Saint Mark's Church, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Salatino, pastor. Entombment will follow at Saint Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday at Dery Funeral Home from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
