Obituary for Barbara Jane Beischel

Barbara Jane Beischel, 82, a resident of Pittsfield from 1955 until 2014, died peacefully at her home in Schwenksville, PA on November 3, 2015. Barbara was born on February 3, 1933 in Westfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Mary Alice Halloran. She was a 1951 graduate of Westfield High School.
Mrs. Beischel was a homemaker and worked as a dental receptionist after her children were grown.
Mrs. Beischel was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting, making beautiful sweaters for her granddaughter that have now been passed down to her great granddaughter. She was a long time member of the Dalton Community Recreation Association where she enjoyed water aerobics with her close knit group of girlfriends.
Mrs. Beischel was predeceased by her husband Robert Beischel, whom she married April 30, 1955, her brother J. Brian Halloran and sister Patricia Howes. Her sister Alice Halloran died in 1936 as a young child.
Mrs. Beischel leaves her son, John Beischel of Hopkinton, MA, a daughter Karen Arcuri and her husband James of Schwenksville, PA; three grandchildren, Katie Rausch, Davin Beischel, and Cameron Beischel; and three great grandchildren twins, Rylan and Brennan Rausch and Stella Rausch.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Barbara Jane Beischel will be held Saturday, November 7, at 10AM with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in Pittsfield, celebrated by Rev. Peter M. Naranjo, II, Parochial Vicar. Calling hours will precede the mass from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford, St., Pittsfield. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery (203 Southampton Road, Route 20) in Westfield. Memorial donations in memory of Barbara may be made to Crossroads Hospice, Plymonth Meeting, PA in care of the funeral home.
