Obituary for Ashton B. Sargent
Ashton Blake Sargent, age 25, passed away Saturday, May 7th 2016 at his home in Ludlow, MA. He previously resided at Hickingbotham Rd, Peru. He was born in Boynton Beach FL on June 4th, 1990, Son of Harold J. Sargent and Kathryn Swofford.
He attended Wahconah Regional High School and later received his diploma. Ashton worked as a carpenter for Sargent Panelizing Systems before he served his country as a National Guard member in Afghanistan.
Ashton is survived by his father Harold J. Sargent of Peru ,MA; his mother; Kathryn Swofford of Shirley, Arkansas; his daughter: Riley Larie Sargent of Pittsfield, MA; His sister Crystal Swofford of Shirley, Arkansas; his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great friends.
He was loved by all who really knew him, and touched many he briefly met. He loved all who were a part of his life especially kids. He enjoyed adventures in the outdoors catching snakes and all types of insects, and loved to fish and hike. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Funeral Notice Calling hours will be held FRIDAY, May 13, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St, Dalton, 01226. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berkshire Bank (a trust for his daughter Riley) in care of the funeral home.
