Obituary for Arminda B. Lane

ARMINDA LANE, 83, formerly of Elaine Drive, Pittsfield, died Wednesday,
February 20, at Providence Care Center of Lenox, where she had resided since March
2006. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, March 30, 1924, a daughter of Antone and
Encarnacoa Martins Boino, she was a 1941 graduate of Pittsfield High School and
attended the former Pittsfield Secretarial School. Mrs. Lane was employed by the General Electric Company as a patent docket
clerk for 40 years retiring in 1980.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the G.E. Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs. She enjoyed bridge.
Mrs. Lane leaves her husband, Lawrence E. Lane, whom she married September 1, 1956, in Sacred Heart Church. Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Mary Tranquilli, of Pittsfield, and nieces and nephews.


FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for ARMINDA LANE, who died Wednesday,
February 20, will be Thursday, February 28, at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church,
celebrated by Rev. James K. Joyce, Pastor. Inurnment will follow in St. Michael The
Archangel Mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of
flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Lane may be made to the Berkshire Visiting
Nurse Association in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street,Pittsfield.
