Obituary for Armand C. Astore

Armand C. Astore, 75, of Capitol Square Apartments in Pittsfield, died Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on July 18, 1940 the son of the late Carlo and Lydia Masengo Astore, he was a 1958 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Armand served with the United States Army for two years and was honorably discharged on September 3, 1965. Armand was employed by Bland Electric Company where he was a truck driver for many years.
Armand was an avid Red Sox and New York Giants fan. In his earlier years he enjoyed traveling to Boston to Fenway to watch the Red Sox play. Armand also enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling to Maryland, Kansas and Oklahoma to visit his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
Armand is survived by his wife; the former Linda M. Beals; his daughters; Barbara L. Imler and her husband Daniel of Lawton Oklahoma, Cheryl L. Astore and her girlfriend Tayshialynn of Pittsfield, his son; Steven C. Astore of Pittsfield; and his brother; Richard E. Astore and his wife Patricia also of Pittsfield, his grandsons; William and his wife Alison and their children Harmini and Izaya; Alysia and her husband John Malone and their children Gaby and Carson; and Matthew Imler, and additionally many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Rita Pivero.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
At his request, there are no funeral services for Armand C. Astore. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Soldier On; in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
