Obituary for Arline L. Fletcher

Arline L. Fletcher, 86, of 210 Pinegrove Drive passed away on Friday evening at home. Born on May 12, 1929 in New Rochelle, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie Kaufman Smith. A longtime Pittsfield resident, she was educated in Bronx, NY and Argyle, NY schools. A homemaker, she had worked at one time at the former England Brothers Department Store. She enjoyed cooking and volunteering her time at the National Archive Center in Pittsfield. She leaves her husband, Everett C. Fletcher of Pittsfield whom she married on November 7, 1953 at the First Baptist Church in Glens Falls, NY. A daughter; Lisa Fletcher-Udel and husband Edward of Dalton. She also leaves a son; Mark C. Fletcher of Tewksbury, MA and three grandchildren; Aaron Udel, Ariel Udel and Remy Fletcher. She was predeceased by a sister; the late Doris Menzies.



FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Arline L. Fletcher who died April 15, 2016 will be held Wednesday at 12:00 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield conducted by the Rev. Charles Young, chaplain at Hospice Care in the Berkshires. Burial will be private in Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Arline may be made to Soldier On in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
