Antoinette "Ann" Serridge, 92, of Pine Grove Manor in Dalton, MA died Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her home.
Born in Lee on September 14, 1929, a daughter of Rosario and Grazia Avanzato Bona, she was a 1947 graduate of Lee High School.
Mrs. Serridge was a communicant member of St. Agnes Catholic Community in Dalton, MA where she also served in numerous volunteer capacities.
She had a long career working for several agencies within the federal government, including the Department of Defense, Internal Revenue Service, and the Social Security Administration. Mrs. Serridge was an active member and volunteer for the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. Upon retirement, she worked part-time and later served as a volunteer for the Marian Fathers in Stockbridge, MA.
She took great pleasure in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, in addition to the many relatives and friends who live in the area. Volunteer work for Dalton Senior Center and several other community organizations was also one of her passions.
She was married to the late John T. Serridge of Beeville, TX, in April, 1954 in Lee, MA and who passed in February 1977.
Mrs. Serridge is survived by a daughter, Ann (husband Timothy) Flanagan of Lenox, MA; two sons, Thomas (wife Bethany) Serridge, of Abington, PA, John (wife Nancy) Serridge of Pittsfield, MA, and a brother, Anthony Bona of Dalton, MA; five grandsons, Joshua Wells, Luke Bona, Brendan Flanagan, Shaun Flanagan, and John Serridge; two granddaughters, Emily Walsh, and Abigail Serridge; two great granddaughters, one great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Augustine Bona, and two sisters, Mary Simeone, and Clara Gomes.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Antoinette "Ann" will be held Saturday, March 12th at 10:00am at Dery Funeral Home in PITTSFIELD with Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor of St. Agnes, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield, MA. Calling hours will proceed the service from 9 to 10 a.m. the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Church Food Pantry, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or to a charity of one's choice in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
