Obituary for Anthony Anello
Anthony Anello, 72, of 310 Wahconah Street, Pittsfield, MA died Friday, October 9, 2015 at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield where he was a resident for one day.
He was born on Columbus Day, October 12, 1942 to Italian immigrants, Francesco and Crocifissa DiFilippo Anello. He attended schools in Pittsfield. Anthony was a laborer for local 473 for 30 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Polish Community Club, a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, he enjoyed gardening, yard work, and fishing and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, and he also enjoyed decorating his home for all seasons and holidays. His wife the former Helen A. LaChance whom he married October 23, 1993 passed away October 5, 2002. He is survived by two step sons, Michael Mayberry of Pittsfield and Martin D. Mayberry and his wife Keri of Pittsfield. A stepdaughter, Jean M. Muldoon and her husband John of Vista, California. Five Brothers, Frank Anello and his wife Adrian of Cape Canaveral, Florida, John Anello of Pittsfield, Joseph Anello and his wife Shirley of Pittsfield, James Anello and his wife Karen of Cheshire and Samuel Anello and his wife Karen of Pittsfield. Two sisters, Concetta Hart and her husband William of Dalton and Elizabeth Yansak of Pittsfield. Two grandchildren, Andrew and Adyson Mayberry and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Anello in 2003 and Dominic Anello in 1997.
The family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to the Hospice workers from Hospice Care in the Berkshires for their compassionate and loving care shown to Tony and his family.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Anthony Anello will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA with a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS former pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be private. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials in his memory be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care
