Obituary for Ann Obanhein "Nancy" Miller

Ann Obanhein Miller, "Nancy", age 91, died December 30, 2013 in Suffield, Connecticut where she had resided for the past 5 years. Born in Stockbridge, Massachusetts on October 5, 1922 to John Adam and Cecilia (Devenny) Obanhein. She was a 1940 graduate of Williams High School. Nancy was the Chief Operator for the Stockbridge office of New England Telephone and Telegraph Company until her marriage in 1948 to Henry F. Miller, Jr. of Pittsfield, MA. In 1967 she went to work for Berkshire Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1987 from Policyowners Services.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers John and William.Her husband of 31 years, Henry F. Miller, Jr., passed away in 1980.
She leaves a brother, Cornelius Obanhein and his wife Mary of Stockbridge, MA. She is survived by her daughters,Karen Seeman and her husband Stephen of Strafford, NH; Donna Gosselin and her husband Roy of Suffield, CT; and Melissa Woodruff and her husband Robert of Pittsford, NY. Nancy was very proud of her granddaughters, Kiley Gosselin and her husband David Tanner; Courtney Gosselin Moller and her husband Timothy; and Olivia Woodruff. She got the biggest kick out of her Great-Granddaughter, Blythe Eleanor Tanner.
Nancy enjoyed life to the fullest. Whether it was enjoying time with family and friends at Salisbury Estates and Suffield by The River, golfing, shopping, painting, or caring for her pets, Nancy took the time to "smell the roses".

Funeral Notice: Calling hours will be 9:00 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. at Dery Funeral Home 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA on Friday, January 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Mark Church, 400 West St., Pittsfield, MA. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Felician Sisters in care of Sister Mary Lawrence, 1315 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
