Obituary for Ann Drozda

Ann Drozda, 70, of 57 Balance Rock Road, Lanesborough, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at
Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 28, 1943, a daughter of John and Irene Scherban Drozda, she was educated in Brooklyn schools.
Miss Drozda was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a claims taker for the
Department of Employment Security. She retired in 2001 with 15 years service. Prior to that, she had
been a graphic artist in advertising for England Brothers Department Store.
Miss Drozda was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church.
She enjoyed art and painting, especially religious painting, and making Ukrainian Easter eggs.
Miss Drozda is survived by her sister-in-law, Christina M. Botz, of Lanesborough, and many
ieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Emil Drozda and Joseph E. Botz, and a sister, Natalie
Kowchuk.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Ann Drozda will be held Monday, December 23, at 11:30 a.m., with Father Janusz Jedrychowski of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in the Spring. There are no calling hours. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
