Obituary for Angelina G Testa
Peacefully, Angelina Guiseppina Testa died on April 21, 2024 at the age of 102. Berkshire Place offered her community, compassion and care since 2015.
Over the course of her life, faith, family and lifelong friendships sustained her. Her love of books, Cape Cod, birds and afternoons golfing at the Berkshire Hills Country Club, brought her happy memories. Until her sister Josephine’s untimely death in 2004, Angie and “Jo” enjoyed Manhattan’s shops, art museums and long walks.
Angie retired from Berkshire Medical Center as an operating room nurse supervisor in 1982. A proud alumnae of the Bishop Memorial School of Nursing class of 1943, Angie was a longtime volunteer at the former Hillcrest Hospital Gift Shop until 2015. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. A veteran of the United States Navy, she was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Giovanna Casali Testa, her sisters, Lena and Josephine.
She is survived by many cousins.
Graveside services will be held, Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, section 15. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
