Obituary for Angelina P. Fillio

Angelina P. Fillio, 93 of 45 Crane Avenue, Dalton died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Springside Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Pittsfield.
Born on November 14, 1918 in Dalton a daughter of the late Phillip and Marcelene Lamenque Laframboise. She was educated in Dalton schools and was a graduate of the former Dalton High School. She had been employed for Crane & Company for 20 years. She had also worked part time at Dalton Town Hall. She was a communicant of Saint Agnes Church and was very active with many church functions. She was a member of the Dalton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, for 45 years. She had been an active volunteer with the American Red Cross for 25 years, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband, knitting and an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. She was the wife of George K. Fillio whom she married November 16, 1940 at St. Agnes Church; he died October 12, 2011. She is survived by Two sons, Robert J. Fillio and Thomas C. Fillio and his wife Barbara all of Dalton. Two sisters, Winifred Downs and Helen Burns both of Lee,Ma. Two grandchildren, James A. Scace and Suzanne Wood. One great grandson, Stephen Wood. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Fillio on August 26, 2009 and by a brother, Theodore Laframboise.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday her 94th birthday at 9:15 a.m. from the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St. Dalton, Ma. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours at Dery-Foley Funeral Home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to, Hospice Care of the Berkshires or to the Dalton American Ladies Auxiliary both in care of the funeral home. The Family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Springside for all their devoted care and compassion shown to Angelina while residing there.
