Obituary for Allen Leab
Allen R. Leab, 86, of Dalton passed away on December 26, 2023.
He was born in Pittsfield, to the late Roswell E. Leab and Elizabeth Allen Leab.
Allen graduated in 1960, with an Associates Degree in Arboriculture, from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Marine Corp. in 1958.
Most recently he was employed as a Sexton at the First Congregational Church in Williamstown, MA, prior he was employed as the building maintenance manager at Jiminy Peak.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Leab: father of Tammy (Michael) LaPointe, Katherine McKeen, Valerie (Robert Tomaskowicz) Leab, and Allen Patrick (Donna) Leab; plus 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother David Leab.
In keeping with Allen’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St. Dalton, MA 01226
