Obituary for Alice M. Wrzesinski

Alice M. Wrzesinski, of 48 Marshall Street in Pittsfield died peacefully at home on Saturday. Born on November 11, 1920 in Harmarville, PA she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Ruskas Chipple. She was educated in Pennsylvania schools and was 1940 graduate of Penn High School. She also graduated from the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Secretarial School. A longtime Pittsfield resident, she married her husband, the late Theodore R. Wrzesinski on January 14, 1950. He died on September 18, 1999. Mrs. Wrzesinski was employed as a secretary at the Gulf Research & Development Company and JB Paper Company. She retired in 1985. A communicant of Sacred Heart Church, she was a very devout Catholic. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She leaves three daughters; Yana Castle, Ph.D. and her husband Christopher of Richmond, CA, Carol M. Krimsky and her husband Barry of Sunderland, MA and Laura A. Liebowitz and her husband Michael Liebowitz, MD of Carmel, CA. A son; Robert G. Wrzesinski of Pittsfield and four grandchildren; Ilona, Ian, Joanna and Alexander. She also leaves a great granddaughter; Isabel Celeste. She was predeceased by two sisters; Nellie and Isabelle and by two brothers; Anthony and Edward.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Alice M. Wrzesinski of Pittsfield who died April 30, 2016 will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael Bernier, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Memorial contributions in memory of Alice may be made to Sacred Heart Church in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
