Obituary for Alberta Mary Harris
Alberta Mary Harris, 100, formerly of Asci Drive, Pittsfield, passed away January 7, 2021 at Springside Nursing Home where she resided for the last four years.
Born in Pittsfield, MA on September 21, 1920, she was the daughter of George and Christina Bradway Elliott. She was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She married Edwin J. Harris on March 15, 1941. He predeceased her in 2008, after 67 years of marriage.
Mrs. Harris worked as secretary for over 25 years at Rice Silk Mill. She enjoyed square dancing, crocheting, baking and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dalton.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela A. Scolforo and husband David of Palm Bay, FL; four grandchildren, Christine M. Scolforo, Jessica Daugherty, John H. Harris, Jennifer Ricard and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Wayne E. Harris and a brother, Robert Elliott.
