Obituary for Albert T. Campoli

ALBERT THOMAS CAMPOLI, 70, of 164 Cole Avenue, Pittsfield, died Monday, August 11, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield, November 28, 1937, a son of Anthony M. & Philomena B.
Cantarella Campoli, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mr. Campoli was employed by the Pittsfield Public Schools as a Senior Building Custodian from 1971 until retiring in 1986 due to illness. Prior to that, he had worked for Berkshire Coca-Cola until its closing in Pittsfield. He was a member of the Berkshire Bow and Gun Club and the Pittsfield Sportsmen's Club. He loved to hunt and fish with friends and family, especially his son,
Anthony, and grandson, Nick. He was a joy to all who knew him and always made
people laugh with his jokes and antics.
Mr. Campoli leaves his wife, the former, Arlene Bliss, whom he married in 1970.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Anthony A. Campoli of Pittsfield;
Jerry A. Shampang and his wife, Anae of Peru; and Michael S. Shampang and his wife,
Sharon, of Owasso, Oklahoma; a daughter, Denise M. Messana of Pittsfield; a brother,
John N. Campoli and his wife, Carole, of Pittsfield; two grandsons, Nicholas M. Messana
of Hill Air Force Base in Utah, and Angus F. Shampang of Owasso, Oklahoma; a
granddaughter, Marissa M. Messana of Pittsfield; a great granddaughter of Pariss N.
LaForest of Pittsfield; and extended family, Ronnie, Molly, and Hannah Barten of
Owasso, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dear friends,
James Hinckley, Paul LeBlanc, Michael Harrington, and Owen Boyington and their
spouses, all of Pittsfield, and far too many more friends to mention. He was pre-deceased
by his brother, Thomas A. Campoli and sister, Elizabeth J. Campoli.


FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for ALBERT THOMAS CAMPOLI, who died Monday,
August 11, will be Tuesday, August 19, at 1:00 P.M., at DERY FUNERAL HOME,
Pittsfield, with Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor of St. Agnes Church, officiating. Calling hours will be Monday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford
Street, Pittsfield.
