Obituary for Agnes A. Gaspardi

Agnes A. Gaspardi, 91, of Pittsfield, MA departed on February 10, 2023 in Las Vegas while visiting family since December. Born on March 30, 1931, she was the beloved daughter of Teofil Kernozek.

Agnes graduated from Williams High School in Stockbridge, MA and after marrying her “Italian Prince” Aldo J. Gaspardi and raising their son Aldo T. Gaspardi, Agnes went on to serve many years at Shaffer Eaton in Pittsfield, MA. After leaving Shaffer Eaton, Agnes enjoyed being a homemaker and traveling with her husband, as well as taking care of her grandchildren and many extended grandchildren for years to come.

Agnes was most famously known for her awesome cooking and baking skills as well as being a caring, compassionate, and loving family member and friend to many. Even after battling cancer, Agnes inspired others with her strong will and outgoing personality, and she lived on in good health until her passing.
Agnes was more than just a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a family member, and a friend. She was a best friend and inspiration to so many, an amazing companion to grow old with, a strong role model to young & old, and if you were lucky enough to know her for even just a few minutes, she was a blessing to have in your life.

Known as “Uma”, “Gram”, and “Bobcia” to her Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and “Wow” to her son Aldo who predeceased her in 2006, Agnes is survived by her grandson, Anthony Gaspardi and her great-granddaughter Annabella Gaspardi of Las Vegas, NV. Her granddaughter Milissa Jones and husband Thomas and her great-grandchildren Travis, Tieler, Tavin, Tamon, and Mercy of Las Vegas, NV. Her grandson Jason Gaspardi and her great-grandchildren Giovanni and Angelo of Pittsfield, MA. Her great-granddaughter Giavonnah Gaspardi, daughter of her late grandson Bryan Gaspardi of Pittsfield, MA. And daughter Sharon Flanagan and husband Gary of Pittsfield, MA.

Agnes is also survived by numerous best friends, nieces and nephews, and so many other beloved family and friends who have known her for decades. She will be missed Humongously.

Funeral Notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. A Celebration of Life luncheon will immediately follow the burial. There are no calling hours. Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
