Obituary for Ada C. Clark

ADA C. CLARK, 87, of Englewood, Florida, formerly of West Housatonic
Street, Pittsfield, died Sunday, March 6, at the home of her daughter.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, on July 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Carl and Lidia Ward Velte, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Clark was a homemaker.
She had been an active member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church in Pittsfield.
She was a past president of the Berkshire Museum Garden Club and had been a Cub Scout den mother for many years.
She enjoyed gardening and was also an avid fisherwoman. Her husband, Harold B. Clark, Sr., whom she married September 25, 1942,
died July 26, 2000.
Mrs. Clark is survived by a daughter, Janet Marie Messer and her husband,
David, with whom she resided in Port Charlotte, Florida; a son of Harold B. Clark, and his wife, Janice Diggens-Clark of Pittsfield; a brother, Carl Velte, Jr. of Lake Worth, Florida; four grandchildren, Joseph Messer, Carrie Cobb, Jon Clark, and Carla Richards; and four great grandchildren, Nicholas and Noah Messer and Mia and Brady Cobb.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for ADA C. CLARK will be held at the United
Methodist Church of Lenox in the Spring with burial to be in Pittsfield Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Clark
may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Englewood in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME,
54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
