Obituary for Aaron J. Barnes

Aaron Joseph Barnes, 24, of 138 Christian Hill Road, Great Barrington, formerly of Becket, died Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center following a motorcycle accident earlier in the day in Hinsdale.
Born in Pittsfield on April 26, 1990, he was educated in Becket and Washington schools, and was a 2008 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School where he played football. At the time of his death, Mr. Barnes was employed by T & M Electric in Dalton where he
had worked the last four years as an electrician apprentice.
Aaron is being remembered for his humorous spirit.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and was a member of C.O.B.B.. He enjoyed camping and
drawing. Aaron leaves his Mom and Dad, Yvonne and Patrick Galliher of Becket, and his father, Michael C. Barnes of Pittsfield; three sisters, Heather M. Keefner of Lee, Sara E. Barnes of Westfield, and Cheyenne S. Galliher of Becket; three brothers, Korrie M. Galliher and his wife,
Emily, of Pennsylvania, Adam J. Galliher of Becket, and Kyle Mitchell of Northampton; his
maternal grandparents, George and Mildred Pettit Houghtlin of Pittsfield, his paternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Osterhout Barnes of Pittsfield; paternal grandparents, Geraldine and the late Stephen Galliher of Becket; his fiancée, Jaime L. Keefner of Great
Barrington; as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles; and two nephews, Aden and Devon, and a niece, Aubree.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Joshua Willis, in 1987.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Aaron Joseph Barnes will be held Monday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in PITTSFIELD with Rev. David A. Anderson, Pastor of First Baptist Church in North Adams, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his mother, Yvonne L. Galliher, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
