A brother-.in-law I loved as the brother I never had.
Burt enjoyed life with a gusto I admired and envied, whether it was hunting abalone in Mendocino, or "walking" his tractor out of the mud and water of his mill pond using the hydraulics, or planting an apple orchard and making the best hard cider on either side of the Pond (and I don\'t mean his); or becoming a master beekeeper for the fun of it; or inventing a key plastic component for the next generation of artificial mitral valve; or running a successful plastics molding company whose creations, in mass production, are probably seen or used by us weekly, if not daily. We loved to argue politics;. We were on opposite poles, but -- unlike Washington -- we joshed each other about our differences, gained insight from each other, and got closer as a result. I will deeply miss my brother.

You are immortal Bub. Life is forever and you will be remembered long after the last of our generation passes.
